May 17, 2010 -- Rutha Laporte and Jean-Michel Vidot, are the residents of two children's homes who have been appointed as children's ambassadors. This was announced at the Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars children's talent show last Saturday at the International Conference Centre.

Rutha and Jean-Michel were chosen as representatives and the voice of the country's children for their exemplary behavior and outgoing personalities.

The show featured 15 "little stars" which focused on the children's singing and dancing talents, and also their intellectual abilities. Among the guests were First Lady Natalie Michel who is the chairperson of the Children's Homes Foundation, Vice-President Joseph Belmont, and Employment and Human Resources Minister Macsuzy Mondon..

All the performers received presents as well as a certificate. To conclude the show all the children in the audience were invited up on stage to join the performers in dancing to a final sega song, and after which they all received gifts of balloons.

The show coincided with International Day of the Family.

Organisers of the event said the show would now be an annual feature. Parents wanting to get their children into next year's show may contact Mr Bennet Accouche at the Conservatoire of Music.
