Japanese Parliamentarian Visits President Michel

06.09.2010 --Â Japanese parliamentarian discusses fisheries development opportunities with Seychelles President.
President James Michel has met with Honourable Yasutoshi Nishimura, who is undertaking a tour of the region.
Honourable Nishimura is the Deputy Chairman and Chief Secretary of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party Policy Research Council and he is also a Member of the House of Representatives of Japan.
Their discussion centred on the opportunities for cooperation between Seychelles and Japan in the fields of fisheries, tourism, climate change and anti-piracy work.
Mr. Nishimura met President Michel during the President's visit to Japan in 2009, when Mr. Nishimura held the post of Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs.
