Mrs Grupinska Is First Polish Ambassador To Seychelles

February 16, 2011 -- The first Polish ambassador to Seychelles, Mrs Anna Grupinska, presented her credentials to President James Michel at State House yesterday.

She later called on Vice-President Danny Faure.

Seychelles and Poland established diplomatic relations over 30 years ago.

On the accreditation of the first ambassador, Mrs Grupinska said "now is the perfect time, with both our countries going through a successful transformation, and I believe we can offer each other the benefit of great and fantastic experience".

Cooperation areas, the piracy problem and the political situation in Somalia were among the topics discussed during her meetings at State House. 

Mrs Grupinska is based in Nairobi.
