China handing over two aircraft to Seychelles

June 15 2011 -- A delegation from the People's Republic of China, in Seychelles to attend the June 18Â Nation Day celebrations, called on President James Michel at State House yesterday.
The six-strong delegation later met Vice-President Danny Faure.
In the delegation are representatives from China National Aero-Technology Corporation who are today handing over two aircraft to Seychelles on behalf of the Chinese government.
The planes are worth a total of 11 million dollars (US).
Mr Sun Zhiwei, the vice-president of China National Aero-Technology Corporation said Seychelles is a close friend of China, which is keen to help Seychelles in the hope that the Seychellois economy would grow as rapidly as the Chinese.
