Brazil's New Ambassador To Seychelles
Wed, 14 December 2011
The new ambassador of Brazil to Seychelles, Mr Francisco Carlos Luz, was accredited yesterday after presenting his credentials to President James A Michel at State House.
Later in the day the ambassador joined Foreign Affairs Minister Jean-Paul Adam to sign an agreement on visa-free travel for Brazilians and Seychellois between the two countries.
The agreement needs ratification.
Minister Adam noted that hopefully the agreement would boost tourism.
Ambassador Luz said Brazil recognised Seychelles' top ranking in human development in Africa and would like to share some of its policies that are helping promote the South American nation of 200 million people.
