President James Michel, as the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, has promoted Lieutenant Colonel Michael Rosette to the post of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces of Seychelles.
Lieutenant Colonel Michael Rosette was previously the Commanding Officer of the Seychelles Coast Guard for a period of two years.
Lieutenant Colonel Georges Adeline has been appointed the Acting Commanding Officer of the Seychelles Coast Guard.

Lieutenant Colonel Michael Rosette has a twenty-nine year career in Seychelles' Defence Forces. He is a qualified Hydrographer and specialist in Maritime Boundary Delimitations
He attended the French Navy Hydrographic School in Brest France in 1984 and in 1985 he qualified as Hydrographer Class B. He graduated from the United State Naval Staff College of the US Naval War College in Rhode Island in June 1999.
In 2000 he went for further advance studies in hydrography in UK at the Naval Hydrographic School in Plymouth. He was head of the Seychelles Coast Guard Hydrographic Brigade and also the Executive Officer of the Seychelles Coast Guard from 1995 to 2007.
He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in September 2007.
Lieutenant Colonel Michael Rosette has been involved in the preparation of the South West Indian Ocean Bathymetric modelling for the General Bathymetric Chart of the Ocean and participated in meetings of Regional Hydrographic Commissions namely the North Indian Ocean Hydrographic Commission and the Southern African and Island Hydrographic Commission.
He has also represented Seychelles during various Maritime Boundary Negotiations Meetings with neighbouring states namely Tanzania, Mauritius, Comoros and France.
Michael Rosette was elected as a Member of the Commission of the Limits of the Continental Shelf under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in June 2007 and is serving in this capacity until June 2012.
He was detached to the Ministry of Transport as Director General of the Seychelles Maritime Safety Administration from January to September 2009.

Lieutenant Colonel Georges Adeline
Lieutenant Colonel Georges Adeline was previously Officer in Charge of Technical Department, and Administration and Logistic Officer of the Seychelles Coast Guard, a post he has held since 2008. He has a thirty-year career in the Defence Forces of Seychelles. Lieutenant Colonel Georges Adeline is specialized as a General Engineer and International Marine Surveyor.
He completed an Engineering Course in 1986 at the Naval Collage in Georgia (USSR at the time), and was appointed Chief Board Engineer Officer for the Seychelles Navy ship . In 1996 he was appointed Officer in Charge Electro-Mechanical Engineering Department, of the Seychelles Coast Guard.
In 2002 he completed a Master of Science in Defence and Strategic Studies at the Defence Service Staff College, in affiliation with the University of Madras, Chennai, India. He also obtained a Diploma in Marine Surveying at the Lloyds Maritime Academy, UK in 2007.
Lieutenant Colonel Georges Adeline also holds the post of Staff Officer; Chief Personnel for the Eastern Africa Standby Force Head Quarters in Kenya.
He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 2010.
