Re-Elected Party Leader Pledges To Continue Working Hard For Seychelles

Delegates at the 26th National Congress of the ruling Parti Lepep today re-elected Mr James Michel as the president of the party.
They elected 25 other members to the party Central Committee. Mr Michel then re-appointed Mr Danny Faure as the secretary general.
Mr Michel who is also the President of the country, thanked the members of the party for renewing their confidence in him.
« It is an honour for me to serve you and the entire Seychellois nation. As president of the party and President of Seychelles, I give you my commitment that I will continue to devote all my energy towards improving the wellbeing of our people, for the future of our people, the progress of Seychelles. I will continue to work hard for Seychelles, » the President said.

A rejuvenated Central Committee was constituted.
« The young people who have just been elected have accepted a big challenge on behalf of the party and in the interest of Seychelles : putting Seychelles first, working hard for our motherland, without personal ambition, without consideration for personal gain. I warmly congratulate you on your election. I sincerely thank you for accepting the challenge, the heavy responsibility, for our party and our Seychelles, » Mr Michel said.
He also congratulated the re-elected members who, he said, represent continuity.
