SEPEC's Captain Adam Retires

President James Michel has thanked Captain Guy Adam for his loyal, dedicated and exemplary service to the Government and people of Seychelles, following  his retirement from the post of chairman of Seychelles Petroleum Company this month. The President will appoint a new chairman for SEPEC in the near future.

Mr Adam has furthermore resigned from the Boards of Société Seychelloise d'Investissement, Cassis Seychelles Limited and Indian Ocean Tuna Limited.

Having attained 69 years of age, Captain Adam has retired from public service in order to dedicate himself to other personal matters and to other priorities.

"I thank you for your many years of loyal, dedicated and exemplary service to the Government and people of Seychelles. You have been an inspiration to us all, particularly to the boards you have served on and the companies you have headed. I am grateful to you for your counsel during your tenure of office and for your able stewardship especially of SEPEC and its affiliated companies. As a result, we have one of the most modern tanker fleets in the world and we are making much progress in our quest for petroleum exploration in our waters. These are notable achievements and they are to your credit," said the President in his letter to Mr. Adam.

The President wished Mr. Adam much success in his future undertakings, and a happy, fruitful and active retirement.

Captain Guy Adam was the Chairman and CEO of Seychelles Petroleum (SEYPEC)  for the past 16 years and had previously a long career in shipping.
