Seychelles Still in Solidarity with the Japanese People

On the occasion of the one year anniversary of the devastating earthquake and ensuing tsunami that swept Japan last year, claiming countless lives, President James Michel has sent a commemorative letter of condolences to the Emperor of Japan, H.I.M. Akihito.
On behalf of the people and Government of Seychelles, President Michel expressed the sympathies and the solidarity of the Seychellois people for the losses endured on the 11th March 2011 and praised the spirit of the Japanese people as they have rebuilt their nation together.
"Seychelles admires the resilience of the Japanese people. Today you stand proud as a nation in the face of adversity," said the President,
"The commitment and dedication of the Government of Japan to overturn this quandary is exemplary to the rest of the world."
