New Ethiopian Ambassador Accredited

he new ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of Seychelles, Ambassador Shemsudin Ahmed Roble presented his credentials to President James Michel, at State House this morning.

The President and Ambassador Roble discussed a wide range of issues with a view to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Roble said that he is looking forward to start his mission and hopes that Seychelles and Ethiopia can develop cooperation in different areas, which will be mutually beneficial.

“Ethiopia and the Republic of Seychelles have a very long and understanding relationship that has existed for decades…and we want to strengthen our relation with the Republic of Seychelles  in political, diplomatic, economic, tourism areas and others,” he said.

Ambassador Shemsudin Ahmed Roble is based in Nairobi, Kenya.  Seychelles and Ethiopia established diplomatic relations on 14th April 1982.  H.E. Amb. Shemsudin Ahmed Robel is the fourth Ambassador accredited to Seychelles for  Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
