New Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates accredited

The new ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Seychelles, Mr. Abdulla Ibrahim Al-Suwaidi, presented his credentials to President James Michel at State House this morning.
After the accreditation ceremony Ambassador Al-Suwaidi told the national media that his talks with the President were very fruitful and that more areas of cooperation will be established during meetings with government officials throughout his tenure in office.
“We have talked about strategic partnership between Seychelles and the United Arab Emirates. We have discussed different areas of cooperation such as trade, economy and many other things, because Seychelles and the United Arab Emirates have very good relations and we want to have more cooperation with the Government, so to help in its developments as Seychelles is the best of friends with the United Arab Emirates,” he said.
Also present during the meeting were the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean-Paul Adam and the President's Diplomatic Adviser, Ambassador Callixte D'Offay.
Ambassador Al-Suwaidi is based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
