President Michel expresses profound sadness after devastating landslide claims lives in the State of Washington

"It was with profound sadness that we have learnt of the devastating landslide in the State of Washington," stated President James Michel in a letter addressed to H.E. Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, in the wake of the tragedy which affected Washington State.
President Michel remarked "the People and Government of the Republic of Seychelles, join me in expressing our heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to you (H.E. President Barack Obama), to the Government and to the People of the United States of America as well to the families of the victims."
President James Michel expressed hope that those most affected by the landslide would find the courage and strength to cope in this most difficult period and conveyed the thoughts and prayers of the Seychellois people.
