Liberation Monument to be relocated to new site

Mon, 31 March 2014 | State House

The Office of the President has announced that the Liberation Monument (“Zonm Lib”) will be removed from 5th June Avenue to be relocated to a new site at Maison du Peuple, following a decision by the ruling party.

The Liberation Monument will continue to serve as a potent reminder of the core values of Seychelles’ struggle for Independence and Liberation, as well as a powerful symbol of the ideals and mission of Lepep.

As Zonm Lib is relocated to its new home, work will commence on a new project on 5th June Avenue, dedicated to national unity, details of which will be announced later.
