Accreditation of the new Venezuelan Ambassador

The second Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Seychelles, Mrs. Mairin Moreno Mérida, presented her credentials to President James Michel at State House this morning.
After the accreditation ceremony Ambassador Moredo Mérida told the national media that her discussion with the President centred on different avenues of cooperation to further consolidate the bilateral relations between Venezuela and Seychelles especially in economic and political matters. She added that Seychelles and Venezuela were discussing various projects in different areas, which will add impetus to the development of the relations for the future.
“..Venezuela and Seychelles are like brothers and for the Venezuelan government it is very important that we link with other countries in Africa. In this case, obviously the relationship we have with the Seychelles is very important…We hope that this time is the first of the very many other meetings in the future,” said Mrs. Moredo Mérida.
Also present during the meeting were the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean-Paul Adam and the President's Diplomatic Adviser, Ambassador Callixte D'Offay.
