President James Michel offers his prayers and condolences to Holland and Malaysia following aircraft disaster

President James Michel expressed his sincere condolences to His Majesty King Willem Alexander, Government and people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, His Excellency Najib Razak, and the Malaysian people following the tragic accident, which saw 290 passengers perish aboard Malaysia Airlines Flight 17. In his message to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, President Michel noted that the lives of so many were stolen in the tragedy and he offered  “deepest condolences to the people of the Netherlands and the families affected by this terrible and unfathomable tragedy.” In a separate message, President Michel also extended heartfelt condolences to the people of Malaysia and to the families who lost their loved ones in what President Michel described as “an incomprehensible human tragedy.”
