Seychelles President to attend SADC Summit

President James Michel is travelling to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe this weekend to attend the Southern African Development Community(SADC) Summit of the Heads of State and Government.

The President is accompanied by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Barry Faure, the Seychelles Ambassador to South Africa and Permanent Representative to SADC, Ambassador Claude Morel, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Office of the President.

Leaders of the 15-nation SADC will meet to discuss the major regional issues under the theme: SADC Strategy for Economic Transformation: Leveraging the Region’s Diverse Resources for Sustainable Economic and Social Development through Beneficiation and Value Addition.
