President Michel to visit New Zealand and Samoa

President James Michel is travelling to Auckland this week on an official visit, at the invitation of the New Zealand Governor General, The Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae.
President Michel will meet with the Governor General to discuss areas of bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on renewable energy, education and the Blue Economy.
The President will then travel to Samoa to attend the UN Conference on Small Island Developing States in Apia. The conference theme is "The sustainable development of small island developing States through genuine and durable partnerships".
The President will be accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean-Paul Adam, the Minister for Environment and Energy, Professor Rolph Payet and the Ambassador for Climate Change and Small Island Developing States Issues, Ronny Jumeau, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
