Appointments of CAA and PSAB

The Constitutional Appointments Authority members have been appointed.

Ms. Marie-Ange Hoareau has been appointed Chairperson of the CAA, by the President of the Republic following the recommendation by the two members, Ms Marlene Lionnet and Ms Jane Carpin, in accordance with Article 140 (3), whereby the two members were unable to agree on the appointment of the third member and Chairperson of the Authority.

The appointment is for a period of 7 years and is effective from 26th November.

Ms Marlene Lionnet was reappointed by the President  on 30th October 2014 following her term since 2007  and Ms. Jane Carpin was appointed by the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Mr. David Pierre on 3rd November 2014, in accordance with Article 140 (1) (a) of the Constitution. Both appointments are for 7 years.

Mr. John Renaud has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Public Service Appeal Board, in accordance with Article 148 (1) of the Constitution of Seychelles, by  the two members of the board, Mr. Georges Gills  and Mr. Amedee Rose.

The appointment is for a period of 7 years and is effective from 7th November.

Mr George Gill was reappointed to the board by President James Michel on 31st October 2014, having served his term since October 2007. Mr. Amedee Rose was appointed on 29th September 2014 by the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Mr. David Pierre. Both appointments are for 7 years.
