The Second High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho Accredited

The second High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho to the Republic of Seychelles, Mrs. Evelyn Mpho Malejaka Letooane presented her credentials to President James Michel this morning at State House.
President Michel congratulated High Commissioner Letooane on her new position and expressed the hope that Seychelles and Lesotho consolidate and strengthen the already strong relations for the benefit of the two countries as well as in the region.
The President and High Commissioner Letooane discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest and areas where the two countries can explore new avenues of cooperation.
Speaking to the local media after the accreditation ceremony, High Commissioner Letooane explained that there are many areas where Seychelles and Lesotho can have cooperation both countries can bring their relations to the next level.
"...These days you don't just strengthen [relations] but you also look further into the future to see what are the areas we can tap into that can benefit both countries. There are many areas of cooperation, whether you speak of tourism, you can exchange best practices, or whether you speak of education, you can exchange experts....in the area of building your own local young business people," said Mrs. Letooane.
Present during the meeting were the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Transport, Mr. Joel Morgan, the President's Diplomatic Advisor, Ambassador Callixte D'Offay.
High Commissioner Letooane is based in Pretoria, South Africa.
