Heavily armed Al-Shabab militants indiscriminately massacred at least 150 Kenyan students in an attack on the University of Garissa in the north east of Kenya. In the wake of this atrocity, President James Michel on behalf of the people and Government of the Republic of Seychelles expressed profound sadness following the senseless shooting in Garissa in a message of condolence addressed to President Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya.  “Seychelles will never condone such cowardly acts of terror aimed at instilling fear and propagating discord amongst our people,” said President Michel. In his message, President Michel assured his Kenyan counterpart that “the people of Seychelles stand shoulder to shoulder with Kenya in these darkest of days.”
