President Michel expresses profound sadness following crane disaster in city of Mecca

Following the crane disaster crashing in the Grand Mosque, in the city of Mecca claiming over one hundred lives and injury many others, President James Michel has sent a message of condolence on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Seychelles to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
In his message to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President Michel remarked that the tragedy is amplified as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia prepares to welcome believers of Islam to Mecca as part of the Hajj pilgrimage later this month. "The Government and people of Seychelles join the bereaved families of the victims and the pilgrims going to the holy site to pray for the lives cut short by this tragic and unprecedented accident," said President Michel.
