President Michel expresses deepest condolences to Russia following tragic aircraft accident

President James Michel has expressed his sincere condolences to President Vladimir Putin, the Government and people of the Russian Federation as well as the affected families following the tragic aircraft accident, which saw 224 souls perish aboard flight Kogalymavia 9628, operated under Metrojet, over the Sinai peninsula.
In his message to the Russian Head of State, President Michel noted that the lives of so many were stolen and he offered “deepest condolences to the Russian people and to the bereaved families affected by this terrible tragedy.”
President Michel further remarked that the "Government and people of Seychelles stand firmly with Russia and mourn the loss of all those that perished with the Russian people.”
