New Appointments of Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly and Ambassadors

The Office of the President has announced the appointment of two new Ambassadors of Seychelles, following the approval for their appointments by the National Assembly.
They are Miss Marie-Antoinette Rose, who has held the post of Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly since March 2012, and Mr David Pierre, who has been Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly from December 2011 up to May 2016. The President said he was confident that their professional experience and commitment to serving the national interest would make them excellent ambassadors of the Republic.
The President has also appointed Hon Charles de Commarmond as the Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly with effect from 1st June 2016.
The President has also announced the promotion of Mr Maurice Loustau-Lalanne to the post of Secretary of State with effect from 1st June 2016.
